@getit4 @FirstTake @TheJetOnTNT @stephenasmith The the thing about stats they tell a ton. This stats tells me the east was not deep during their run. There was always just 1 team to beat. Detroit 1st, then new york, then indy, then Orlando. The bulls were in the west, lucky the moved to the east.

@BradLester1 Yeah they still remember that bama is the team that they got screwed over for. 13 0 is better than 12-1 all day. Even if it is a 12-1 nick saban team.

[Eric D @Ericdsportsfan]

@Underdog Yeah but this is the team that should've got in the playoffs over the 12-1 nick team. 13 0 will always be better than 12-1....

In 2016, Coach Sampson was personally asking students if they’d come to basketball games.

Today, he’s built a culture that packs the Fertitta Center every week.

@FOS @UHCougarMBK Now imagine if most mid major coaches stay and make their program be taken serious forever? The prime example of staying where you’re wanted, leveling them up, and bring them to the promise land💪🏽💯 I wish more coaches did this

[Front Office Sports @FOS]

Houston hired Kelvin Sampson from the NBA in 2014.

Since:
2016: $25M practice facility
2018: $60M arena upgrade
2018: First March Madness win in 34 years
2019: School-record 33 wins
2021: First Final Four in 34 years

Now, Sampson has the Cougars playing for a national title.

[Eric D @Ericdsportsfan]

@NBA Still don't understand how the rules have gotten water down at the highest level. The best athletes in the world should be held to higher standards, not lower ones.
