Yesterday I went to a walked around a former Imperial park, visited a café with robot waiters, and saw my first No-Hitter in person in my baseball watching life. And I took 31,727 steps, walking 15.26 miles to do it. I’ll write up the details in my blog later today.
@BaseballBrit AT&T, now Oracle Park, in San Francisco. Hard to call it a “neutral” park as a Dodger fan, but the vibe was good and the game fun. The surrounding environment on King Street was a blast. No. 2 is Seibu Dome in Saitama, Japan, a domed park where a homer can go out of the park.
@AuchmirahC @molly_knight The soft ending to the regulara season. The Padres got, and stayed, hot and game ready while the Dodgers relaxed too much during the final series with the Rockies after clenching the spot they wanted and then had the break before the series.
This is my Dodger Diner: a Dodger Dog, a Brooklyn Dog (all beef), fries, and a grapefruit soju. If the soju tastes like a grapefruit chuhai I might think I’m watching a game in Japan.
In Chicago for WorldCon and is my wont I’m taking in a game, in this case at Guaranteed Rate Field to watch the Twins vs the Sox. UNFORTUNATELY I can’t take my walk around to take pictures because it’s ILLEGAL for someone with a 500 ticket to go to level 100.
This is what level 100 looks like. Where all those snooty, “I can walk around the entire stadium and you 500 level dorks CAN’T” fans sit. Except for that guy in Dodger blue. He’s cool.
