Heartened that @JoeBiden, soon to be our second Catholic President, will attend Mass with GOP congressional leaders. Today’s Gospel reading is from chapter 3 of the Gospel of St. Mark: Jesus heals a man. Healing: what a fitting theme for this day and this presidency.
Saw a Jesus sign in the midst of the mob storming the US Capital for a would-be dictator. Just want to say as a follower of Jesus that I think Jesus supports President-elect Biden’s call to “honor, decency and the common good.”
From Biden’s press conference: honest assessment, realistic view of his role, focus on people, respect for Congress, desire for bipartisan progress, reach-out to our allies. Good stuff!
“O come, O King of nations, bind in one the hearts of all mankind. Bid all our sad divisions cease and be yourself our King of Peace.” My Christmas prayer from O Come, O Come Emmanuel, verse 7.
