@dwnews Here’s some advice. Don’t create laws that define special classes of “race” offences and affronts. However, prosecute those who contravene existing, general laws as vigorously and publicly as possible. Elevating the place of identity just plays into the hands of extremists.
@InequalityMedia@RBReich A little bit disingenuous. An increase in worker productivity almost always is due to new machinery or software. That’s one reason why wages don’t go up with productivity. It isn’t the worker that is any better; it the tool set.
@TorontoStar@StarThisMatters@wendygillis It would be interesting to hear how many working people of any colour who live in neighbourhoods where violence and crime occurs want to “defund” the police. I suspect we shall hear silence on this matter.
@SusieGale12 @CBCNews The Chinese communists were too busy starving and jailing their own citizens to be engaged in international affairs much between 1949 and 1976. When the great murderer, Mao Zedong, died things began improving but they still pulled off an attack on Vietnam. Real peace-lovers!
@SusieGale12 @CBCNews As far as know, Russia hasn’t stopped any killing, especially of its own, inept soldiers. The warmongering Chinese communists, of course, don’t share your deep compassion for the victims of conflict. They’re not “taking sides” and have a “limitless” friendship with war criminals.
