I look forward to firefly season all year. 3 weeks when the line between science and magic blurs.
In search of ancient tribal synchronous firefly mating dances that have been happening for millions of years.
It renews tonight, and I am an honored witness.
If you need to place a notice on your vehicle in order to preemptively excuse your atrocious driving, perhaps you shouldn't be driving. Or procreating.
What brought this about was seeing a drive-thru coffee place, where people sit in their vehicles & pollute the air bc they can't get TF out of their car for 5 mins
I guarantee that you'll get better service, have a better day, & live a better life if you get TF out of your car
Sometimes I think about when I was eating/living at my most unhealthiest, & how waiting in a drive-thru for fast food was the worst thing I could do for myself, & the world around me
Haven't sworn off fast foods, but I'll be goddamned if I ever wait in line in a drive-thru again
@reflect10133017 That's amazing! I don't know what was wrong with her. Laying literally in the middle of the trail. I couldn't tell anything visibly physically wrong. Let me pet her, and heartbeat wasn't panicked. So I really hope everything's alright.
If you saved a forest from a wildfire, how often would you visit those woods? And how would you feel when you saw areas of ground that were once smoldering embers that are now full of green growing things. & mosses. & mushrooms. Yes, I did break down a lil when I saw the mushies.
@tybiscus Oh for sure! Pretzels are a nice touch, get that salt/sweet. And I've used those Reese's bars instead of Hershey's and it was perfect.
For backpacking i realized pop tart smores are the way to go. Nice to have that touch on a long walk.
