@StephenKing just WRECKED me: “And for almost four hours they sat at the opposite ends of the couch, the portable phonograph on the coffee table before them, their faces lit with silent and sorrowful fascination, listening as the music of a dead world filled the summer night.”
Um...this show is brilliant. And giving me MAJOR flashbacks. Being in middle school in the late 90s/early 2000s was weeeeeeird. There’s an entire episode about AIM. 😱
There should be a #sickday mode on @netflix so that it won’t keep asking me if I’m watching @theofficenbc. I’m sick. Of course I’m still watching. It’s that or roll over to the other position that’s not uncomfortable.
I’ve seen “White Christmas” more times than I can count and I’m watching it again. There is something so comforting about watching a movie that you know so well. It feels like a warm blanket on a snowy winter night.
Confession: I’m currently watching and have always LOVED the 1994 remake of “Miracle on 34th Street.” Mainly because @DylanMcDermott is such a STUD and a literal dreamboat. #swoon Also @MaraWilson saying “uncharacteristically” is the most adorable thing ever.
Apparently waiting 20 minutes for an A train to leave at 207 St. on a Thursday at 10am is considered “good service” according to @MTA. I think I’m getting them a dictionary for the holidays so they can look up the definition of those two words.
The best part about having a puppy: when I get bored or restless I can always just say “whatever - I’m just going to snuggle and play with my dog.” Ergo, I’m never bored. 🐶😍
I’m in total awe of the extraordinary students in Florida. Like every movement for progress in our history, gun reform will take unyielding courage and endurance. But @barackobama and I believe in you, we’re proud of you, and we’re behind you every step of the way.
