We had a successful day with SUNY Broome yesterday at our Instant Admit Event. Lots of students were able to get on-site admission with the recruiting van, set up with many resources to help new applicants. Thank you SUNY Broome!

Today Ss from Environmental Class & Club volunteered with Tioga County Soil & Water to plant trees. We then continued our hands on learning after school with a hike at Oakley Corners State Forest. @OAUpdate @OA_Schofield

I love when students set up their own experiments just for fun! These Ss want to learn more about our Madagascar Hissing Cockroaches feeding behavior & preferences… so they setup a time-lapse camera to record the roaches overnight. #scienceiscool #curiosity #OFAenvironmentalclub

Creek Day for BioBlitz & Bug Camps with @OAUpdate Summer Enrichment! Campers learned how scientists use different species as indicators for stream health & did their own mini EPT assessment. We caught lots of crayfish, mayflies, stoneflies, & caddisflies! #streamecology

Our Owego Envirothon team competed Thursday at the regional competition and brought home a $100 prize for their "Adapting to Climate Change" oral presentation. Great job, students! @OAUpdate

BACK 2 BACK - The Owego Robotics team was crowned Champions at the SUNY Broome Robotics Competition for the second straight year! The team comprised of 30 Owego Apalachin Middle School and Owego Free Academy students won the top prize out of the 12 schools that competed. #OAPride
