@MoishesMom NYACC's net worth $17.5 million. Total revenue in 2024: $31.3 million. Expenses: $27.2 million. And they can't provide anything but a prison-like environment for sensitive dogs who decline in that loud environment? Pathetic. Spending over $500,000 a week on what?? For 60+ years.
URGENT SENIOR IN BARROW COUNTY, GA‼️ This is my second time posting Apollo, and unfortunately, the shelter is starting to take a toll on him‼️💔💔He’s pacing more in his kennel and just doesn’t seem as happy as he was when I first met him. 💔I really love Apollo. He’s what I call my gentle giant. He’s 8 years old, walks perfectly on leash, and truly just wants to be loved. When I take him out, he’s happiest standing beside me while I sit there and pet him.💔💔💔🙏🙏🙏🙏
Then I have to put him back, and that part is getting harder.💔
Apollo spent eight years as someone’s dog before being surrendered following an incident that was described as protective rather than aggressive.👍
I also spoke with his owner’s girlfriend, who told me he previously lived with dogs and cats and did well with them, although that is not included in his official shelter notes. The boyfriend’s dad did not like Apollo from the beginning and was trying to get him out.😭
Reality is the shelter is FULL, and Apollo is showing us that he’s struggling.‼️He’s a senior who just wants someone beside him. I really don’t want to watch this sweet boy become a different dog because he spent too long waiting in a kennel. 🤍Please share Apollo🙏🙏🙏🙏

@KellyG581976179 Sounds like they cut out some clumps. He was good for that. They would have posted an after photo. This is after, I bet. 😳 He needs a real grooming: bath, comb out, shave mats, nails. He'd look like a million dollars! 💜 He'd get adopted in no time. 💜
⚠️Urgent in Southern CA-Adopter or Foster Needed
I can’t believe this gorgeous dog is still at the shelter! This is gorgeous , 2 year Old, Old English Sheepdog , 51lbs, named Def Leopard. He’s described as “loving attention, wants someone to hold his paw, and is submissive with people. He can be carried with no issues. He did well with staff cutting his matted fur. There were no issues.”
He’s located at the very deadly, Apple Valley Municipal Animal Shelter, in Apple Valley, CA.
There is very little foot traffic at this shelter
Please go adopt or offer to foster or adopt so a rescue can pull him. Fostering is free if you live in Southern California through a rescue.
This shelter gets very little foot traffic Please consider out-of-state adoption🇺🇸.
It’s possible through a rescue. Adopter does pay for transport.
Please share Def Leppard to help find his hero 🙏

The Bureau of Land Management says a wildfire burned two thirds of their food.
A drought dried up their water.
So the agency planned to remove EVERY wild horse from Riddle Mountain, Oregon. All 418 of them.
They called it a rescue. The horses would be held off the range for about two years.
BLM says the burned range needs a break from grazing.
The horses live on this land by federal law, but the cows graze on it by permit only.
The environmental and wild horse groups that sued say cattle were still out there when a judge asked. And only one of them was being told to leave.
Is this also DEI for cows?
Across the land it manages, the agency authorizes enough forage for 631,412 cows and their calves, compared to ALL of America's wild horses and burros: 26,785 (BLM 2022 data, via Return to Freedom).
I can't get past that number. I keep thinking about these horses, waiting on a courtroom with winter coming. And about the 14,830 wild horses and burros BLM has targeted for removal this year.
BLM's own target for that range is just 33 to 56 horses. That plan would return just enough to reach the low end: 33. And Western Watersheds Project's director says 33 horses is too few to keep a herd genetically healthy.
Why the emergency?
The groups say they had been in court for two years, and BLM had agreed to hold off on a roundup. Then it announced an "emergency" the Thursday before Labor Day weekend.
Is this not a little suspicious from an agency we've already come to not trust?
The groups say BLM had already hired contractors to round up the horses, including a $436,500 helicopter contract. They say the judge saw through the last-minute emergency, worried it looked like gamesmanship, and said no way.
So a judge blocked the roundup a day before it began. That's a temporary restraining order, a short-term pause that does not decide who is right. Another hearing is coming, and the horses stay on the range for now.
The agency warns fall storms could close the roads before it can reach the horses.
If there isn't enough food for the horses, why is there enough for the cows?
Trump's budget request for 2027 left out the long-standing protection against sending healthy wild horses to slaughter. His 2026 request left it out too. Congress kept it in the final law last year anyway (via Roll Call).
BLM can legally sell wild horses. The petition says once they're sold, they lose federal protection, with little oversight of where they end up. It asks Congress for a full audit of those sales.

Today, I have news I have been dreading to share.
Ivory is gone. 💔
I know how many of you have been coming back every day, sometimes several times a day, asking, “How is Ivory?” We fought for her. She fought too. But her exhausted body could not fight anymore.
And today, my heart is breaking for another reason too.
This is Badl. And we lost him too.
Badl had been discarded outside like a piece of broken furniture — still alive, but no longer wanted. He lay there for days, skeletal and helpless. Dirt filled his mouth and eyes. His body carried old and new pressure sores from lying and rubbing against the hard ground. Even the skin on his face was rubbed raw.
Someone was watching him deteriorate.
But the call to us came only when his life had minutes left.
We wasted not a second. Our team rushed to him, lifted his dying body and raced towards the shelter.
We almost made it.
Just a few metres from our shelter — around the corner from safety — Badl took his last breath.
That few metres is tearing my heart apart.
When we contacted his owner, the response was simple: “Take him. We don’t want him back.”
After a lifetime of being useful to humans, this was his ending.
And this is where Ivory and Badl keep meeting in my mind tonight.
We couldn't save Ivory either. But we had her for those precious final days.
She had treatment. Pain relief. Food. A clean, safe place to rest. Hands that touched her gently. People beside her who cared whether she lived or died.
She left this world knowing human kindness.
Badl didn't even get that.
If only that call had come a few days earlier. Even if we couldn't have saved him, we could have filled his stomach. Eased his pain. Cleaned the dirt from his eyes and mouth. Let him feel a gentle hand instead of the hard ground beneath his bones.
We could have given him dignity before death.
Please — REPORT EARLY.
And if an animal has worked for you until his body can give no more, don't throw him outside to die. Call us. Give us the chance to help before his final breaths.
Days like this break us. They steal our sleep. They leave us wondering how much more our hearts can carry.
But then we remember:
There is another Ivory somewhere.
There is another Badl.
And they still need us to keep going.
Please stand with us. And above all, SHARE — because the next person who sees this may make that call in time. 💔🐴

For nearly nine years, Synochok lived in a cramped metal cage measuring only about 4 square meters, performing in circuses and being transported by vehicle on a regular basis. 🐻💔
Then one day, everything changed. After being rescued and brought to a new home, Synochok gradually discovered a completely different life: the freedom to move around, play, and live according to his natural instincts. Watching this bear transform day by day shows just how much the right environment can change an animal’s life. 💗
@shannon_fla Diego needs a soft place to land. 💜 A bath and someone to feed him healthy food. He's been neglected and deserves better. 💜 PLEASE HELP SAVE his precious life. 💜 I pledge $10 hoping it brings a miracle for DIEGO a sweet GOOD DOG who wants a family who really loves him. 💜👀💜
@shannon_fla Bradley looks like the perfect dog. 💜 Please somebody SAVE HIS LIFE! 💜 I pledge $10 hoping he'll be seen and pulled. 💜👀💜 It's not fair to kill adoptable dogs. It doesn't help solve the problem.
WOW: Dexter, Missouri. A police K9 did not die on a call. He died in a kennel behind his handler’s house.
Apollo was a Belgian Malinois. The city bought him in April 2023. In September a vet called him a perfectly healthy police dog. 67 pounds.
On February 18, 2024, he was found dead. 41.6 pounds. Almost 40 percent of his body gone. Ribs and spine through the skin. Eyes sunken.
Necropsy: terminal starvation and dehydration. Pneumonia common in dogs that have been starved.
The department provided the food. Free. It was there. Derrick Durall, Dexter PD’s K9 handler, did not feed him.
He told investigators he had not noticed.
Next kennel: retired K9 Knox. Severe heartworms. Worn teeth. Down 10 pounds. No vet in over a year. The smell did not come off after five baths.
Durall was fired. Prosecutors first charged two felonies — abuse they described as torture consciously inflicted. Then the felonies vanished. Last week he pleaded to two misdemeanors.
The judge imposed a year in jail and suspended it.
What he actually serves: 15 days. Two years probation. $8,900 back to the city for the dog he starved.
Missouri’s Max’s Law says a civilian who knowingly kills a police K9 can face a felony and years in prison.
Attack the dog on the street: years.
Starve the same dog to death while wearing the badge: 15 days.
Apollo could not open the bag. He could not turn on a faucet. He could not call a vet.
He depended on the one man sworn to keep him alive.
That man walked.
@danskuss Who left him tethered after he was transferred to Perak?? He's so skinny. His head is sunken in. Do you think he'll enjoy the new place they took him by boat? 💜🐘💜🐘💜
HeeHaw was 3 FEET TALL.😪
A grown man, a POLICE OFFICER … says he was so threatened by this little bottle-raised donkey that shooting him was necessary?
HeeHaw was 1 year old. He did petting zoos. He was standing in his own pasture when officers entered in the middle of the night.
And THIS was the threat?
If a 3-foot-tall baby donkey creates this level of fear in a man, how safe are you supposed to feel with this officer protecting the public?
Release the bodycam.
Let us see exactly how terrifying little HeeHaw really was.
It’s that time of year again. Kaporos is coming. The orthodox/hacidic Jewish savagery practiced under the guise of religion and tradition.
Chickens will be piled squished in cages in the streets, swung around terrified, and then have their throats slit. Many like robin here was, will be left clinging to life in dumpsters and bin bags.
Robin got a second chance, but so many are not so lucky.
I fail to understand why NYC allows such savage cruelty every single year. And my heart breaks.
