Some of the harmful stereotypes that really stood out to me regarding Disney's storytelling were: the traditional gender norms, how highly sexualized women were, and the representations of the other.
I personally believe that AI can be both harmful and beneficial for children. It may help them with different aspects related to school, but it may also impede their abilities to think creatively or use their own knowledge.
@PattersonShazel I agree with you! I think it is truly important for them to get a better understanding because it can lead to inclusion and compassion for individuals who share different cultures.
I think it is important for parents to understand new technologies. This way they can keep their children safe, monitor/manage their screen time, and to support learning.
@jahiaBD_educ307 My parents were involved. They were aware of all my grades, read my agendas, and would often communicate with the teachers if need be. They helped me with homework and I found it helpful to have that additional support.
@EllaBensimon I had some teachers who prohibited phones in the classroom. Others, simply were not aware that we were hiding them into our pencil cases.
Although technology is a huge aspect of our lives, I personally think that it's crucial for younger children to grow without dependence on technology throughout the early years of their lives. They should be exploring their surroundings and making connections.
Teachers need to be familiar with technological use because both technology and teachers are components of our microsystem. They must to be knowledgeable about modern technology use and include it into their courses.
I believe that our phones, social media, and other technologies have become a part of our microsystem- as well as those of a developing child. They shape who we are and have influence on us.

@enrica_corpuz I am very careful with what I post for the sake of work/professionalism however, I do have a private account followed by my closest friends/family. This does allow me to be myself and post silly things although, I am still pretty careful.
