Excited to share that I’ve accepted a TT position at the University of Southern Mississippi as an Assistant Professor of English, and their Director of Composition! It’s bittersweet to leave Lincoln, but @jasonbmccormick and I are looking forward to exploring Hattiesburg!

@CharlotteKupsh@JasonBMcCormick Yes absolutely! I'm a big fan of having the writing prompt etc written down. One of the things I use ppt for at the beginning of every semester now is for a mini lecture titled "what I learned from your pre course surveys" where all the content comes from students!
@CharlotteKupsh@JasonBMcCormick that the point/ answer and trajectory of the class is already determined / won't be as influenced by student contributions? there are ways around this! But I think the tool does tempt us to be less collaborative with our students as cocreators of knowledge, if that makes sense?
