A cup of coffee in 2050? Coffee cultivation under climate change can be met with shade trees. A #CLICCS study shows that compared to 2000, 23% more shading would be required. More trees lead to more CO2 stored, but also compete with the coffee plants.

The growth in atmospheric methane is driven primarily by anthropogenic emissions, but natural emissions (wetlands) & hydroxyl interactions (via NOx & CO) modify the trend.

Methane is complex, but the system is driven by continued anthropogenic emissions!
