New @JAMASurgery study analyzes over a million patients who underwent surgery between 2007-2019 & found that those treated by a female surgeon were less likely to die, get readmitted, or suffer a major complication within one year. https://t.co/1s5WIihRXE

Thank you for the opportunity to present the Breast Surgical Oncology @HenryFordHealth research today. We continue to work towards decreasing any delay in operative time and potentially avoiding SLNB in favorable patient populations.
Any breast cancer diagnosis in a patient with a pathologic genetic mutation is a missed opportunity for prevention. Testing lets us identify at-risk patients and intervene before cancer develops.

🙌🏻 @ASBrS for reviewing the topic It is imperative in showing innovation and dedication to fighting the opioid crisis. w/ pecs2 block>putting analgesia directly into surgeons hands (IN LESS THAN 2 MINUTES👏👏) blocking pain receptors before they even have a chance @kaitlynkennard
Only at @ASBrS#asbrs22 can you hear Dr. Armando Giuliano (this guy LITERALLY wrote the book on de-escalating axillary surgery) debating that axillary surgery IS NOT obsolete. “Abandoning nodal staging can lead to over treatment”…#intheNodes
Very interesting #ASBrS22 talk this morning from @DrJudyBoughey@MayoClinic about how the COVID pandemic increased our use of neoadjuvant endocrine therapy and increased use of genomic testing on core specimens

One-year local COVID-19 restrictions negatively impacted breast cancer stage at presentation, time to treatment and time to surgery at an urban safety-net hospital: New study shows increased vulnerability of an already high-risk population: https://t.co/Xll7qy91rD #ASBrS2022
The COVID-19 pandemic has permanently impacted society in so many ways including delays in breast ca screening not just due to cessation of screening but also due to patient inability to access. Whether this results in stage migration or ⬆️ deaths is TBD @DrJDietz#ASBRS22@ASBrS
