Last night this team welcomed over 200 members of the Lyon family to an event they have been preparing for months. My heart is so full. What a team to be #repmoproud of! π§‘
Lyon Elementary School's Student Lighthouse Team met for the first time this week! Each elementary building in our district has a similar group of students who provide feedback and ideas to guide decisions at their school. We value their voices and perspectives! #RepMOProud
Today each student walked the red carpet and was cheered on by the RHS Poms Team and the Tiger Pride Band played pep music. So much joy in one room. Seeing the smiles of 500 of my favorite people in these photos reminds me that the little things can make the biggest difference.
Leaving this place tonight with a full and thankful heart. The last 3 evenings I have been able to spend with Lyon teammates working on projects and getting to know them better. '23-24 is going to be a good one!
At tonight's Writer's Reception, a class book titled "Love at Lyon" caught my eye. Take a look at this page written by students. Lyon is a beautiful, special place. I am so excited to "Love at Lyon" with them next year! π§‘π π€

I attended a coaching session at Republic Middle School today and couldn't help but notice this bright area in the library. Each of the notes held something a student was grateful for. So beautiful!
