A measurable track record is a way of collecting data.
You don’t need expensive software, but recording and reviewing your trades helps you identify what works, what doesn’t, and whether you’re actually following your strategy.
Calling all journaling a “psyop” is a wild take, in my opinion.
@massimotrades I risk $100 per trade on my funded accounts. Max 2 losing trades per day, targeting around 2.5R per trade.
Keeping it boring and controlled.
Had a great week trading NQ after making a slight adjustment to my entry model.
Very excited to see if I can keep this momentum going forward.
No trades for me tomorrow.
A tough couple of weeks trading NQ futures. Honest numbers, some lessons, and a plan for what to adjust going forward #daytrading#futures#tradezella https://t.co/s6DReEJAhC
If you’re struggling with trading right now, I highly recommend reading Simon Reeze’s chapter, “The Fifth Time Is the Charm,” in @jackschwager ‘s Market Wizards: The Next Generation.
Great reminder of how long and difficult this journey can be before things finally start to click.
Really good for motivation when you feel like you’re still trying to put together those last pieces of the puzzle. 🙏
@AdamWTrades I see strict risk management, no overtrading, and a rules-based approach. From what I understand - markets have been tough for a lot of traders lately. From what I can see, you’re protecting your downside well
My slightly adjusted entry model absolutely nailed today’s price action.
Feeling dangerously confident right now 😬
Now it’s just a matter of time, patience, and making sure the market doesn’t punch me in the face — as it tends to do with overconfident pricks 😆
@AdamWTrades Very tough price action for me too lately. I’m fairly happy with how I’m handling the downside, though.
I have a max loss of $200 per day while trading a $50K funded account.
Risk management first.
This choppy, rotational market is killing me.
Happy days for range strategies, but not for me.
I’m happy with how I’ve managed risk and only taken setups, but still red over the last couple of weeks.
I know it’s part of the game, but it’s hard, man.
Who’s in front of the screens watching NQ or other markets today? 👀
With FOMC later, I’m expecting a pretty quiet session. Historically, these days often bring lower volume, plenty of chop and limited follow-through before the news.
Very possible it’ll be a no-trade day for me.
But… I’ve been wrong before. Many times 😂
