Leaving our Zone Field Office Meetings this week, one thing is clear: McDonald's USA is winning and operating from an absolute position of strength. I am proud of all we have accomplished together, and confident we will create the future we know is possible in 2023 and beyond.
Today we announced our Q3 earnings results, which demonstrate the incredible strength of McDonald’s USA. Thank you to our U.S. System for all your hard work as we drive the business forward a long-term mindset & Accelerate the Arches in 2023 and beyond. https://t.co/1mooMkrLUW
Thank you to franchisees Tom & Trey Locke in Canton, OH for using your restaurants to deliver life-saving resources to those who need them most. Your efforts are a true representation of living our McDonald’s values & serving our communities with care. https://t.co/Hc4WVG0zte
@McMast_Emily@McDonalds What a dynamic group of leaders and thank you so much for the engaging discussion on the business. Greatness ahead for the business unit.
I am in admiration of the selfless act of bravery shown by four McDonald’s crew members in Joshua, TX - who were honored recently for saving a man trapped in a fiery vehicle nearby. Thank you for your courage & heroic way of showing up for your community. https://t.co/HTgXomkVqf
Happy National Intern Day to the best: McDonald’s 2022 summer intern class. It was a pleasure spending time with this bright group of talented minds – looking forward to seeing their ongoing success in the final weeks of their internship and in their journeys ahead!
Thanks to the collective efforts of the @McDonalds System, our Q2 results reflect the strength of the U.S. business. I am proud of our ongoing momentum and resilience and look forward to all we will achieve together in the second half of 2022 and beyond. https://t.co/HsblXtNWFM
@BrittMcDonalds Thanks for such a wonderful visit. I appreciate all that you do for your people, your customers, and the communities where you operate.
Did you know we briefly removed pickles from our classic burger recipe in 1958? The decision was quickly reversed in 1959 based on customer feedback – pickle aficionados rejoice! I learned about this passionate (pre-social media) response during a recent trip to our Archives.
Tony is an inspiring example of how we live our values at McDonald's. Thank you for your continued commitment to your people and congratulations on your store re-opening — you embody what it means to be McFamily.
“How are these people going to make it without paychecks?” McDonald's franchise owner Tony Philiou asked himself once the renovation plans were finalized. https://t.co/jXunv1zCU0
I am inspired by all the ways our McFamily takes meaningful action in celebration of Juneteenth. Your efforts to participate in local activities and volunteer are embedded in our McDonald's core values, and help us honor the rich diversity of the communities in which we operate.
📍Juneteenth Festival in Franklin, TN
Local McDonald’s Owner/Operator Jemond Daughtry and his restaurant organization were excited to celebrate #Juneteenth this year with their community (and a very special guest).
Thank you to Alderwoman Hairston for making the renaming possible, and to the Black McDonald’s Operators Association of Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana and National Black McDonald’s Operators Association for your continuous presence in supporting our local communities.
Our founder Ray Kroc once said that to be successful you must be daring, be first, and be different. Herman Petty, the first Black owner/operator to join the McDonald’s System in 1968, embodied all those things.
The unveiling of the new “Herman Petty Way” on Chicago’s historic South Side symbolizes the legacy of tenacity and courage Herman stood for, and the McDonald’s System is better because of his contributions.
This Pride month, I am grateful to celebrate the vibrancy and resilience of our LGBTQ+ community. I proudly stand alongside our LGBTQ+ McFamily & the entire community as an ally on the ongoing journey of progress and equality. All are included under the Golden Arches. #PrideMonth
Today we express our deepest gratitude toward the individuals who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. Let us continue to honor their memory by remembering them, and their families. #MemorialDay
Congratulations to Hamburger University on 61 years of serving up excellence — by empowering our people, improving our restaurants and supporting our customers. I look forward to seeing how we continue invest in our journey of greatness now and into the future.
In April 1961, Hamburger University (HU) began in a McDonald's restaurant basement in Elk Grove Village, IL with 15 graduates in the first class. In the six decades since, HU has grown into a world-class center of excellence to develop and train employees around the world.
Did you know that the average McDonald's restaurant manager has completed the equivalent of ~21 credit hours — one semester of college — that can be transferred to many universities? Hamburger University helps us stay ahead of our competitors and set our people up for success.
