@schumacherbj looks like the proposed grant was to be submitted through one of many letter-box shaped holes in the fence. No need to hand deliver it to the committee. Too much thoughtfulness can backfire.
Here it is! The final published version of the Roadmap on Wavefront Shaping and Deep Imaging in Complex Media has just dropped at https://t.co/CaE31nkAZU 🎉 This monumental project led by @sylvaingigan was a joy to publish and is available Open Access for the whole community🔓🌊
@lewandoh that being said, you may need x2 dehumidifiers, assuming they extract x10 litres/day each, running non-stop for 20 days. Did you weight the table for the 400l estimate?
@lewandoh What if you managed to wrap a 'bag' around it, and put in the bag (together with the optical bench) a dehumidifier, with the condensation pipe running out of the bag.
@TheAndrewMacRae Classically, the "rays" following C & D would not be solutions to Maxwell's equations. In other words, following those trajectories, the rays would not be perpendicular to the wavefronts, unless the space between the star and the observed was filled by a non-uniform medium.
@PascalJabbourMD As an "empirical datum" I can confirm: humans' best friends are truly remarkable. The love and affection they give is the real deal. One can only strive to give some of that love back.
@SteveStuWill@johnmdudley Could not agree more. Many thanks for this post! Visualisation allows one to make sense of the numbers and imagine what they mean.
@j_bertolotti The wider the spreading the higher the chances of mutations. At one point and randomly, certain mutated strains will behave differently, making the toy-model description inaccurate.
