The Ernie Pyle Legacy Foundation is established for the purpose of fostering recognition of the distinct contributions of war correspondent Ernie Pyle.
This exhibition on Ernie Pyle is now on display in Abruzzo at the museum dedicated to this brigade until August. In the coming months, many people will have the opportunity to learn about Ernie.
We are grateful to the Italian Chapter of the 3rd Infantry Division Society, Outpost 16 who have shared with us a wonderful opportunity for people to learn about Ernie Pyle. On April 18th, the anniversary of Ernie’s death, an exhibition was held at Orsini Castle, north of Rome.
The exhibition was part of a literary event in which writers and journalists presented their latest works to the public. Dozens of Ernie’s columns were displayed in English and Italian for visitors to read.
Ernie Pyle honored many brave soldiers throughout his career, and today we remember the heroes who have fallen serving our country. A soldier he famously memorialized was Captain Waskow. Read his tribute here.
Thanks to Phil Todd at @usishield for sharing this photo with us! Students and advisors from University of Southern Indiana got to hang with “Ernie” on April 18th, Ernie Pyle Remembrance Day for the Indiana Collegiate Press Association conference.
We're grateful for the wonderful men and women who visited Ernie's grave on Ernie Pyle Remembrance Day this year. EPLF sends a floral arrangement on April 18th each year, and we're thank for those who visit Ernie on this day, annually.

On December 13th, Wreathes Across America and their wonderful volunteers laid countless Christmas wreathes on headstones for our nation's service members at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific. Ernie being honored among them is something we are forever grateful for.
Today we celebrate Veterans Day. Ernie honored the veterans in his columns, and today we take a moment to honor them. Thank you for all you do for our country.
