17-year-old Mongiwa Ntuli graduates with BSc in actuarial science from University of Pretoria
At just 17 years old, Mongiwa Hazel Ntuli has defied expectations and secured an honours degree in actuarial science from the University of Pretoria (UP), graduating with distinction and the coveted cum laude honour.
Starting her tertiary studies at the tender age of 14, Hazel embarked on one of the country’s most challenging academic paths, mastering a rigorous actuarial science curriculum renowned for its global standards. Her academic excellence places her among the youngest and most accomplished graduates in the field.
Now 18, Hazel is already pursuing a Master’s degree and has plans to add an MBA to her academic portfolio all while laying the foundation for a promising career. “I’ve always believed in dreaming big,” Hazel said, attributing her resilience and determination to her faith, which she describes as a cornerstone during difficult moments.
