-Forcing an outsider to speak your language is an imposition.

I too believe everyone should know as many languages as possible. We should try to understand the local language, culture, traditions, etc. But is it that easy? Except for a few talented people, hardly anyone can learn another language even in 1–2 years. How can you expect someone to speak your language right after reaching your state?

Also, I’ve seen people here start abusing us even if we mispronounce a name, city, language, or anything, even if we miss an “a” or add an extra one. They take offense. So tell me, how would anyone even think of learning it when you can’t tolerate even a small mistake?

By beating innocents, does your language become more secure or gain new glory? No, it backfires. It creates negativity about you.
The best way to make people adopt your culture is to make them love it. Let them adopt it on their own, and embrace it with love.
