What if I told you being offended is a choice. And you could choose to *not* be offended. And all of a sudden those “offensive” things suddenly would have no power over you. Too much personal responsibility? Well...the freedom is there if you choose to seize it. #DrSeuss
@heckyessica I have made perfecting my handwriting and doing fonts like that my life’s mission. I can almost do her print font, but I can never ever master the cursive script she does. I’ve been trying for years. 😩
@ChannyMill@Heminator My sister and I hike the national parks a lot. You can always tell when non-Americans are on the trails. Loud. No spatial awareness. They’ll take way longer than their “turn” at photo spots (like sit and almost have a picnic when there is a line to take pictures).
@ingelramdecoucy The one in SC was wild. It felt like something enormous hit the house. We had some earthquakes recently and I thought it was that at first. Apparently not though.
Got some video with sound of the boom from my friend Ryan Turiak’s camera on top his hanger at Hamilton-Owens Downtown Airport in Columbia.
Definitely not an earthquake.

@ChrisJacksonSC Tbf, the first of those dam earthquakes a few months ago I also felt the shaking as a shove in my chest. Although I have zero experience to doubt or say you’re wrong in any way lol
Audiobooks are the cheat code to be able to keep reading your book when you’re not supposed to be reading a book. I passed many a tedious hour in the lab lost in a good book because my task didn’t require my brain, but I couldn’t sit and “read.” Now I pass my books between Audible and Kindle and read the whole day away.
@emzanotti My 15yo can make a cake from scratch and multiple versions of common pasta dishes from scratch. (And does very frequently!) No jars. I don’t think she will have these whiny struggles.
@SevierlyBlessed@PolitiBunny Chicken thighs (boneless/skinless), a pack of egg noodles, some frozen corn, and a couple of boxes of chicken broth can make some amazing chicken noodle soup in the crock pot. Enough to feed a family of 5 multiple times. For like…$25? We splurge and add kielbasa.
@IzaBooboo I take leftovers or food I meal prep every day and stay on site for lunch (not necessarily working) saves me easily $400 a month and I get off work a half hour earlier 🤷🏻♀️
@neontaster We just played the dumb game with them with a different band this morning and it is so aggravating. Trying to buy tickets on Ticketmaster could be punishment for crimes.
I hate Ticketmaster. They say they make sure genuine fans get tickets but I don’t believe them. Also they won’t hold tickets for even 1 minute to allow you to checkout. You might have to go around and around with multiple seat selections before you can be the fastest one to check out with them. The system is awful. And Ticketmaster is awful.
The replies to this are…wild. I’m a Millenial, so I’m fully on board with not having to be on the clock doing nothing to satisfy a company’s desire to see your butt in a chair, but sometimes work requires work. Work ethic is important for more than just your job.
It’s odd to me to come across so many young people (17-25) who fail to understand that responsibilities don’t just disappear because you’re angry to think something isn’t fair.
Had a 19 year old kid start at my job two days ago and today he was fired.
Why?
Because of a last minute change order on a job required him to stay at a customers house later than he expected.
“But I made plans.”
No one gives a flying fuck.
Shut the fuck up, man up, and do your job without whining like a little bitch.
But no, instead of doing his job, he threw a mini tantrum and then called his girlfriend to drive 45 minutes across town to come pick him up.
It’s fucking pathetic.
@DrunkRepub @KhaliBalmung 👀 I like Teams? I can join from my phone so I can use my AirPods and seamlessly add my computer for sharing. I haven’t used Zoom in a while, so maybe it’s improved, but for the function Teams has treated me better? Now the concept of “Teams meetings” 0/10. 😂
@Ekc12345@BuckSexton My husband never comments on my attire unless I’m dressed up dressed up, but I bought a bunch of wide leg jeans and he actually noticed and complimented them. So I must not look terrible 🤷🏻♀️
