@wonderparlour As a friendly rival fan here in Wales, congratulations to England on reaching the semi finals, that's good in it's own right.
I think maybe next time, if the world cup is held in another hot climate, some practice games in 30c+ heat might help the stamina. I think that was why.
@wonderparlour As someone who doesn't support England at all, I am pretty sad they lost the way they did, they played well. I think the manager's tactics caused the defeat. Maybe the Norway and Mexico game tired them out, so the manager was forced to change style.
I will be visiting Tokyo this year and will visit some Caramel Column "pilgrimage sites"! Es will join me...!
数ヶ月後に東京を訪れる予定なのですが、滞在中に「キャラメル・コラム」ゆかりの地を巡る「聖地巡礼」をしようと考えていますエスが私に加わることになります……!

@Einsteinbk285@owenjonesjourno I'd like to take this opportunity to say: I hope this can be a bridging point for you and us on the left. Nobody acts the same on any side. I don't agree with the right wing at all (and likely vice versa), but I am glad to live in a country where we have that right to disagree.
@Einsteinbk285@owenjonesjourno I also feel ashamed for the treatment of Ann. She was controversial but a murder isn't to be celebrated or argued about.
I would like to think that whatever side people are on, most people care about the country and the safety of everyone whoever they are or their opinion.
Do you think Es would ever want to fly on a plane? I think Es would want to explore the world and see places she reads about, but maybe she gets flight anxiety?
I hope she doesn't get motion sickness! Her reaction when she lands and explores would be very cute though.

@TradeSmarterST@Graham_Stewart5@oli_tatty If they treat people from there well, have reasons for their feelings but don't let them influence how they act, I think it's valid. People can be complex. If someone said they hate Wales because some Welsh people were abusive because they were English, I wouldn't take offence.
@TradeSmarterST@Graham_Stewart5@oli_tatty I forgot to mention this too!: I think it's important to imagine yourself as the other person. For example, if a northerner hated the south because of what we mentioned earlier, I think the main question is "why".
@YaayItszRhea@Graham_Stewart5@oli_tatty Exactly this. I think it's hatred of England as a country as an "idea" or concept, not the people themselves. We have the same in Wales toward England
You do get people who take it to the extreme though and push that to the people themselves but that's rare
@elddyrkn1@anas223xrzl@Graham_Stewart5@oli_tatty I can't comment exactly on it because I'm not sure about Scottish history and I don't wanna pretend I do!
I think if it's anything similar then it may be a reason, just based on what we have in Wales. "The old enemy" cultural belief kind of thing. Best guess.
@CLDunny@Graham_Stewart5@oli_tatty I think you're the guy in work that can dish it out but can't take it lol. Imagine being offended by something as well known as "Wales wants us to lose in the football"🤣
@CLDunny@Graham_Stewart5@oli_tatty We have historical conflicts, a lot in recent memory. Some people in Wales might treat English people poorly if they got poor treatment themselves, same might be in Scotland. This might be a reason for the original point (why do some people in Scotland hate the English)
