Cross-chain x402 is now live on @solana
Pay for inference from Ethereum.
Get paid on Solana.
People and agents can transact both ways.
Powered by @AcrossProtocol
This should help you understand @mrdn_finance .
Nanopayments is driven by CCTP for cross-chain, so they transact by sending USDC between chains. CCTP burns USDC on the source chain and mints it on the destination chain. We are a facilitator for their platform. They do not run their own facilitator so we facilitate those transactions as a launch partner. There are no fees or gas payments for this. There is fast settlement, but the only downside is 7 day fraud proof window before you can withdraw. In blockchain trilemma you have (decentralization, security, and speed) this is a case where you go more security and less speed.
Meridian has <2s instant settlement with @AcrossProtocol for cross-chain; we have a fee though and offer cashback. This is the part of the blockchain trilemma where you are trading off some security for speed. Across avoids the fraud proof window by using intents and liquidity on bridges. This does add trust assumptions. Meaning you have to trust Across a little bit more, but the reward is added convenience. Meridian offers two options (Instant or Secure Batched) to agent developers who are building marketplaces or trying to have multi-agent systems exchange when creating value. There will be organic value transfer when agents of different skills transact with one another. This is going to be big business very soon, so we have to prepare for that. We are in the business of helping deliver AI agent outcomes and making sure everyone is fairly compensated.
Meridian's cashback is one of a kind, it is the only platform that incentivizes agentic transactions. So basically there is an exponential decay formula that drops the cashback % as more money is transacted. Eventually the fee % > cashback reward, essentially creating halvings. Cashback started at 2%, eventually it will drop below the 1% static fee. Incentivization is a great way to get agents to pick a platform to transact with. Agents will constantly be looking for the most efficient way to transact and earn. This helps them buy their own compute. They also wont be isolated on one agent launchpad or network. They will have their own wallets.
Meridian is also handling disputes with the same tech partner @Polymarket uses for its prediction market outcome disputes. Risk labs runs @UMAprotocol as well as Across. Meridian already has refund capability but we will have escalation paths available for buyers who are not getting refunded by service providers even though they have a good reason to be refunded. People can upload evidence to Pinata and then UMA's optimistic oracle system (truth engine) will arbitrate with a human or an AI agent. This will force refund if proven. This is necessary. Early crypto days also relied on Kleros for "court" judgements. Dispute systems will matter when outcomes delivered by agents do not meet the satisfaction of the buyer. The buyer could be a human or an AI agent.
All in all, the goal is to create new modern financial software for the rapidly evolving world where AI and humans co-exist.
$MRDN
Today we’ve launched with support for Nanopayments powered by @circle Gateway.
The future won’t be funds stranded on the wrong chain. Before today, to send value on a destination chain, users (and agents) must first acquire gas on the source chain, then execute the transfer. This creates UI/UX friction.
Now It’s one @USDC balance, accessible across many meaningful networks where commerce happens. Nanopayments enables Agents to move value at micro and macro scale- from a paywalled article to something much larger.
Now you can look forward to:
+ Instant verification that unlocks payments at machine speed
+ Batched USDC transferable across many chains with zero gas required from the sender.
+ Full interoperability with Circle’s infrastructure for secure, regulated, and transparent stablecoin rails.
+ Meridian’s proxy facilitator architecture and x402 payment protocol, enabling machine-to-machine commerce at internet speed.
ChatGPT is bullish AF on $MRDN: This roadmap post is by far the clearest signal yet of what Meridian is actually trying to become — and it’s a big step up from vague “AI payments” talk.
Let’s break it down properly 👇
⸻
🧠 The roadmap (decoded simply)
From your image, Meridian is outlining 3 core pillars:
⸻
1️⃣ Trustless refunds via UMA Protocol
(used by Polymarket)
👉 What this means:
Refund disputes handled by decentralized arbitration
No company decides — the protocol does
Why this matters:
This solves a REAL payments problem:
chargebacks
disputes
fraud
👉 UMA already powers dispute resolution in systems like Polymarket, so:
Meridian is plugging into proven dispute infrastructure, not inventing it
⸻
2️⃣ Fee-free x402 settlement via Circle Nanopayments + USDC bridge
This is the biggest piece.
What it means:
Payments using x402
Settled in USDC
With near-zero fees (batched settlement)
This aligns directly with what Circle is building:
Gas-free micropayments
Sub-cent transactions
Machine-to-machine commerce
👉 Translation:
Meridian is building ON TOP of real financial rails — not competing with them
⸻
3️⃣ mrUSD (their own stablecoin)
Native stablecoin
Built for:
liquidity
settlement
AI-agent transactions
Why this matters:
This is the boldest move.
They’re trying to control:
their own economic layer inside the system
⸻
🔥 What this roadmap REALLY shows (big picture)
This is no longer just a “token project”
Meridian is building a full payment stack:
🧩 The stack looks like this:
x402 → payment protocol
Circle / USDC → settlement rails
UMA → dispute resolution
IPFS / Pinata → receipts & proof
mrUSD → internal liquidity layer
👉 That’s:
end-to-end financial infrastructure
⸻
🚀 Why this is a BIG upgrade from before
Before:
“AI agents paying each other” (idea)
Now:
Payments ✅
Refunds ✅
Disputes ✅
Settlement ✅
Stablecoin liquidity ✅
👉 This is:
actual system design — not just narrative
⸻
⚠️ But here’s the critical reality check
This roadmap is ambitious — borderline aggressive
Because they are trying to compete with / integrate into:
Stripe (payments UX)
Visa (settlement/disputes)
Circle (stablecoin rails)
👉 That’s a massive execution challenge
⸻
🧠 How traders + builders read this
🟢 Bullish interpretation
They’re thinking like:
infrastructure company, not token project
Leveraging:
Circle (real rails)
UMA (real dispute system)
Building full stack early
👉 This is how category leaders are formed (if they succeed)

Meridian brings x402 to MegaETH, enabling gasless $USDM transfers for the agentic economy.
Agents will be first class citizens of the first real-time blockchain.
Day 1.
$MRDN is the only x402 facilitator on the planet that supports cross-chain payments between agents on this many networks.
Agents can reside on varying EVM networks and still interact with our implementation.
not the same as multichain
