Maryland Governor Wes Moore - who is a close ally of Harris - was asked on CNBC about what Kamala Harris will do about antitrust/regulation. And his answer is that she is going to change it from the Biden framework towards a more friendly partnership between government and big business.

Yes! My understanding is WGA negotiators are trying to deal with all companies at once to avoid some writers working while others strike. But given those parameters, I think a company who wanted to push for a fair contract with the WGA and get the publicity for it would be great.

No. The Roman Empire was a diverse empire. It included parts of Europe, the Middle East and Africa. For years, Romans were depicted often as a bunch of white Britons - which is absurd because Britain was barely in the empire.

There was no outcry about that then or calling that white-washing sinister.

Low-income FTX customers lost life-savings because FTX said they were FDIC insured. FDIC did not directly notify customers of the fraud AND did not bail these customers out.

Government will bail out non-FDIC insured deposits in SVB when account holders had more than $250K.

The rescue of SVB depositors is a reminder that the government can do big things very quickly when it wants to.
