Welcome to EsportsRead!
We are a multifaceted media company with a primary focus on delivering in-depth coverage of current aspects in the esports industry.
Aiming to provide perspective to the industry while being accessible to the communities within each respective game.
Can a trading card game be considered an esport if it's also played electronically? Like PTCGO or MTG: Arena.
Or does it need to be exclusively electronic like Hearthstone or Shadowverse?
Imagine if esports articles were written like traditional sports articles.
"Cloud9 seeks to take win over Evil Geniuses to secure their spot at the top."
Really? You don't say? A team wants to win?
I can't wait for the website to launch so I can write 1,000 word articles with insanely strong opinions.
Gonna find a way to allow people to also share their opinions and have them discussed in future articles.
I'm genuinely surprised it's 50/50 right now.
Here's my 2 cents. Trash talk was funny 12 years ago in MW2, but we've all grown up since then. And until trash talk can be responded to properly like in tradition sports (which will never happen), it shouldn't be allowed.
I want to see some personal opinions on the current state of Halo as an esport.
Will Halo Infinite actually become something or just go the same route as all the other recent Halo games competitively?
So with Overwatch 2 seemingly being around the corner, I want to discuss Overwatch as an esports.
Since the start of Overwatch League, 98 of the 130 players that competed in Season 1 are no longer competing. That's just over 75%.
Is this really going to be a good esport? 😬
I'm struggling to understand the benefits of the CoD League's format.
There's 12 teams. They play 5 games in 3 weeks. Then they go to a bracket stage?
At least have every team play each other once before moving to a bracket.
