The so called public university graduates are not all entirely green. Many are and many do not engage with patients as would be desired. Give it up to @Kmtc_official and other other institutions that train Diploma Pharmacists.
@EssentialDawa@gabrieloguda I train pharm techs and their syllabus covers what @libeyabethwel explained. They do very slight clinicals like early diagnosis of some minor ailments e.g colds, uti's etc. They do not do ward rounds, theirs is basically dispensing 90%. Try a public university graduate
The failure is yours. You can't be proud of not doing or encouraging correct training approach. What is clinical pharmacy without clinical / ward experience?
On the contrary, I have and work with an excellent team if pharm techs that engages in wholesome patient care.

@gabrieloguda How many Pharmacists do we have in the Counties and sub counties.
In most rural communities, you may be lucky to find even one pharmacist.
The best route out of this politics is to have enmasse upgrade from diploma to BPharm.
@gabrieloguda Not entirely true! Dip holders aren't what is alluded to here.
Most serve hospitals and community. Clinical pharmacy was first introduced at KMTC for diploma students.
Pharma practice is 80-90% diploma. I just fired 2 Pharmacists for misdemeanor and lack of content.
