Celebrating Learner Success.
I reflect on the incredible progress my learners have made this year.
My learners have demonstrated remarkable growth and exhibited improved skills, knowledge, and confidence in and outside the classroom.

In English, 1 learner could read a simple paragraph, 4 could read words while the rest were at the lowest levels at the beginning. By November2024, I registered 17 learners who can read words, 12 can read simple paragraph, 4 can read a story and 2 can read a story and comprehend

At the beginning of the year more than a half of the learners learners were at the first two lowest levels in mathematics, morethan a half of the class ended at the highest level of assessment in the same subject by November 2024 as per the TaRL assessment.

It also provides a safe space for girls to discuss their challenges, well-being, and emotions. It offers mentorship and career guidance so as to encourage, guide, and support learners, especially girls to excel academically. Next year, we intend to add skilling on the list.

I established the LET GIRLS THRIVE CLUB in the school-Bamusuuta C/U P/S. It was established in the third term of the school year 2024, October.

Let girls thrive club also targets learners who demonstrate leadership potential and have the desire to make a positive impact on their community.
This club focuses on breaking stereotypes forexample challenging traditional gender roles that may limit the girl child's potential

The club includes learners from different age groups to enhance peer support. The club targeted learners with low self-esteem, having difficulties in their academics, and those facing any other challenges either at school or home.

It has a total of 35 pupils. Most of the learners in this club were recommended by teachers while a few were self-nominated. 70% of the learners in this club are girls, while 30% are boys (boys were included so as to grow their understanding about the challenges that girls face).
