Miss you Jon. May the 4th be with you. As we celebrate this Independence Day, let’s recognize one of the greatest threats to our national unity: the growing temptation to allow media voices, political leaders, and partisan agendas to divide us from one another. America cannot be strengthened by suspicion, hatred, or constant outrage.
The promise of America depends on our willingness to seek truth over propaganda, unity over division, and the common good over political victory. Let us pray for the wisdom to discern what is true, the humility to listen before we judge, and the courage to reject any voice that profits from keeping Americans angry, afraid, and divided.
The signing of the Declaration of Independence and the birth of a nation founded on the conviction that all men (people) are created equal and endowed by their Creator (God) with certain unalienable rights—among them life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
The Declaration does more than announce freedom from tyranny. It calls us to a higher understanding of liberty—one rooted in justice, respect for others, fairness for all, moral responsibility, and accountability from both government and citizens. It reminds us that true democracy depends not only on laws and institutions, but also on the character, restraint, courage, and conscience of the people who uphold them.
Remember the final words of the Declaration of Independence:
“And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of Divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes and our sacred Honor.”
In those words, the Founders acknowledged both their dependence on God and their responsibility to one another. They understood that freedom is not merely claimed; it must be protected, practiced, and shared. It requires citizens willing to work together for the common good and to confront anything that stands against the nation’s highest ideals.
As we mark this Independence Day, let us turn first to God in prayer. Let us pray for justice and fairness for all. Let us pray that our laws and courts will protect the innocent, defend the vulnerable, and hold accountable those who commit grave wrongs. Let us pray for the courage to be a voice for the voiceless—the poor, the forgotten, the abandoned, the bullied, the marginalized, and all who are pushed to the edges of society.
May this Independence Day be more than a celebration of history. May it be a renewed commitment to liberty, justice, fairness, dignity, and hope for every American.
May God bless our nation, guide our hearts, and hear our prayers.
Amen.

@JonJustice Hi @JonJustice the week has been crappy from 6-9 a.m. weekdays.
Is there still a rally tomorrow? I can't find any information. Enjoy your Friday Costco pizza.
Have a blessed evening.
Mike
This song, “Hey, Mr. Springsteen” is written by Harold Zierdt. It’s a fantastic rebuttal to the “The Boss” who’s clearly on the wrong side. @Harryokie well done!
