There will be some areas under distress, and it's normal. Not even 10 days are over, from the plantation day. It's too early to judge. It will take some time to settle down.

But dubbing the entire feat as dubious is unacceptable from CNN team. Even if one takes atmost care there is a possibility of saplings failing due to many reasons.

And such bodies are normally set up by majority of owners. Is there any other way?

50,000 Free Saplings Distributed Tomorrow Across Bengaluru! 🌱

To mark World Environment Day, BDA will distribute 50,000 free saplings (medicinal plants, kitchen garden plants & native tree species) across 42 locations from 6:30 AM to 10:00 AM tomorrow (June 5).

This is part of BDA’s larger initiative to plant 1.5 million native saplings across Bengaluru on 27th June.

The distribution drive aims to create awareness and register volunteers for this massive green movement.

Citizens, schools, colleges, RWAs and institutions are welcome to collect saplings.

I have been to ‘grievance’ meetings organized by other departments, and I must say, your OHM is perhaps the most structured and professionally managed one!!

This change comes as a breath of fresh air:

* The OHM meeting is well organized and structured - right from the time attendees are notified by SMS to sign-in at the meeting

* Meeting started on time, and Officers are present and prepared with the petition details

* Responses from officers are simple and clear. Even if all cases aren’t resolved on the spot, petitioners get a clarity on next steps and whom to follow up with

* Live streaming the event on youtube adds to accountability, #Transparency and #GoodGovernance

Kudos for bringing about this change @CMofKarnataka @DKShivakumar @mlanaharis @Captain_Mani72. I hope this can be sustained for years to come.

Ps: I didn’t expect my issue to be resolved in a single meeting, but the LAO came prepared to engage. I plan to come back soon with an order from the Karnataka HC (WP 1864/2026)

Have you raised this directly with UDD or @GoK_UDD? i see you keep repeating the same issue here and that only delays focus on core issues
