Most of the world has already filed away the men inside Angola Prison. They are serving life sentences. Many will die inside those walls. They are not trending. Nobody is making content about them. Nobody is showing up for them.

Daddy Yankee showed up for them.

And he did not come to perform. He came because he said God told him directly: Raymond, this is a big mission. He said in another place he should be doing a lot of other things. But right now it is all about God.

So he went inside. And he stood in front of men the world has written off and said something most of them have probably never heard from anyone with his kind of platform. He told them they are important to God. He told them their life has value.

That is not a motivational speech. That is a man carrying a word from God into a place most people would never voluntarily enter.

He also said something that cuts through every excuse the rest of us use for staying comfortable. He said everyone inside the faith has to go to the world and preach the gospel. He cannot simply convert and stay silent. The arena became a prison. The fans became the forgotten. The set list became the gospel.

Daddy Yankee has been open about still being under construction. Far from perfect. Vulnerable. He has weaknesses and will make mistakes. But his faith is in the Lord, and when God said go, he went.

"The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives" (Luke 4:18).

Is there someone in your life right now that the world has written off that God might be asking you to show up for?

This is what obedience looks like when it costs you something. Daddy Yankee could have stayed comfortable, kept his platform clean, done the safe version of faith. Instead God said go to Angola Prison, and he went. He stood in front of men serving life sentences and told them their lives have value. That is the gospel with legs on it. Pray for every man inside Angola who raised his hand that day and pray that more believers with platforms follow Daddy Yankee's lead and go where God sends them.
