A vehicle should never be able to automatically lock a child inside with the key still in the car.
This is a brand-new vehicle. Please investigate this safety issue before another family isn’t as lucky as we were.

As a pediatrician, I am no stranger to the tragic danger of children in hot cars.
On a 90°+ day, I buckled my baby into our 2027 Infiniti QX60. I closed the door and walked to the driver’s side—only to discover that the car had LOCKED ITSELF with my baby and the keys inside.
I tried every door. Nothing.
I called 911 and screamed for help. My husband ultimately had to break the window to get our son out.
He was trapped for only about 3 minutes and, thankfully, was okay.
But we were lucky.
