@RFaithEditorial I really do like the imagery the author is trying to show. But I get I stuck on “into and out of” I understand wanting to cleverly use opposite words together. But it confuses me rather she is on this moving ground or not.
@RFaithEditorial Them entering a “morning area”, says that has been a death. The maître d’ staring at them, shows judgement, a reason to be nervous. Then describing yarmulkes, gives visuals of a Jewish Funeral or a shiva. A lot can be said in one chunk.
@RFaithEditorial “Puke an elephant” caught my attention, and like that! But I did end up getting lost the other descriptions. I agree in centralizing a character.
@RFaithEditorial I wonder why they chose to start here. The headline seems to be the gunman not the kidney. So why not start with him, gun to his head, wondering who would do this?
@RFaithEditorial I didn’t know that there would be math. Lol I do wonder why they chose this long way to say 7:30. This is could work if there was some kind “ticking clock”. But it’s just like 17 minutes, okay? So what if he’s late to work?
@RFaithEditorial Like wouldn’t it be cooler if was something like “the whole town gather for (the woman’s name) beheading, sweating in fear that they could be next. “
@RFaithEditorial I love a beheading ! I always feel like starting with the weather is very cliché as this point. It’s a variation on it was a “dark stormy night”. And I do agree the hot weather could mean some thing about the intensity of the situation.
@RFaithEditorial Alternative line:
Caroline can’t decide if it’s Desdemona’s hourglass curves or depthless dark eyes that send a shiver of heat down her spine, but as the brunette strums her guitar, Caroline realizes that it is her music that is the most attractive.
@RFaithEditorial I love your edited lines. Totally understand about editing it to make Car more active and I knew I had a flow problem but I couldn’t put my finger on it.
