We must go beyond the idea that #WesternBalkans are a ghetto made up of non-EU countries and expand the regional cooperation to the entire Balkan area. This would contribute not only to #Europeanisation of the Western Balkans, but also to overcome disputes with EU member states.
🇷🇸Serbia’s experience showcases that those countries that are willing to align closely with China’s (geo-)political interests are likely to be rewarded with economic benefits, CHOICE Research Fellow Ana Krstinovska writes in our new article. @EstimaMk

Our Aleksandra D. Spasovska was a panelist at the 5th social forum of the Transport Community @EUWB6_TCT, making a case for greater CSO inclusion in transport policy & infrastructure projects 👇
#WesternBalkans social actors are directly impacted by transport policies and projects. 🚦They have the motivation and place-based knowledge to contribute to their success. 🎯 That's why we need the space and appropriate resources to make that happen.
📌 Proud that @EUWB6_TCT Social Forum recognized CDI’s and regional partners contribution in building more inclusive transport policies.

➡️loyalists (e.g.🇭🇺 🇷🇸),
➡️skeptics (e.g.🇪🇪🇱🇹🇱🇻🇨🇿)
➡️pragmatists (e.g.🇵🇱)

Our president Ana Krstinovska delivered the impulse intervention "Unlocking Potential: Public sector capacities in view of EU integration" at the launching conference of the “Western Balkans Public Servants Capacity Building and Mobility Programme with Italian Administration”.
The public administration has a crucial and double role of both a target and a tool in the EU integration process of the Western Balkans, hence it is crucial to ensure its efficiency, integrity, professionalism and depolitisation in order to accelerate the EU accession.
