Enzo Fernandez said that his dream was to join a club as big as Manchester City, and many delusional Chelsea fans (and neutrals) are claiming City isn't bigger than Chelsea. It's time to debunk this:
1)League titles: City has 10 league titles, below only Liverpool (20), Manchester United (20), and Arsenal (14).
This makes City the 4th biggest club in England. Below City are Everton with 9 titles, Aston Villa with 7, and then Chelsea and Sunderland are tied with 6 titles.
City's latest league title is from 2024, whereas Chelsea's last title is from 2017. Furthermore, City's first league title came in 1937, and Chelsea's came in 1955.
2)English cup competitions: we both have 8 FA Cups (the latest one for Man City came in 2026 when we beat Chelsea, important to note).
When it comes to the League Cup, we have won 9 (the latest one being the 2026 Carabao Cup), and they have won 5.
When it comes to English supercup/community shields, we have 7, and they have 4.
3)Records: yes, Chelsea has some great records, such as the incredible record of conceding only 15 goals in the 2004/2005 season, but City absolutely destroys them in this category. City is the only English team that won 4 titles in a row (2021,2022,2023,2024), the only English team apart from Man United to have won the treble, and the only English team to have won a domestic quadruple. Don't even get me started on the centurions of 2017/2018.
4) The most iconic moment in English league history is the famous 93:20 goal by Sergio Aguero in the 2011/2012 season, not to mention that it was done by an Argentinian, and Enzo Fernandez is also Argentinian...
5)Man City can proudly say that they were coached by the best manager in the history of the sport, Pep Guardiola, and this is a major part of our history.
There's a lot more that can be said on this topic, but Manchester City is clearly bigger than Chelsea, despite having 1 Champions League title compared to Chelsea's 2...
Favorite current City player: Cherki (and Enzo Fernandez if we sign him)
Favorite City player of all time: Aleksandar Kolarov
