🚀 EthStorage Mainnet Alpha is live on Ethereum!

After nearly 3 years of R&D, EthStorage brings petabyte-scale, verifiable storage to Ethereum — making long-term, on-chain data practical and affordable.

With this launch, Ethereum’s modular vision takes a major step forward: alongside computation (L2 rollups) and consensus (Ethereum L1), it now has a decentralized storage layer-2 — enabling Web2-like scale with Web3 security.

As decentralized applications continue to rely on centralized web infrastructure, censorship-resistant access matters more than ever.

At @EFDevcon India, we’ll introduce web3:// (ERC-4804), an access protocol that lets users locate and access on-chain content through smart contracts.

@opensea already supports web3:// URIs for NFT metadata.

Join us for a lightning talk on building a censorship-resistant web on the EVM.

Security isn't just about preparing for quantum computing. Emerging AI capabilities may also challenge assumptions about cryptographic safety.

In collaboration with @QuarkChain, we explore why public-key exposure matters, the limits of "Satoshi's shield," and what a measured approach to crypto security could look like.

Bunker Mode: Beyond “Satoshi’s Shield”

@drakefjustin has called for the industry to prepare for “bunker mode”: carefully moving assets to fresh addresses whose public keys remain hidden behind a hash.

Why now—and what does it tell us? 🧵

What happens as more and more ETH gets staked?

@drakefjustin (Justin Drake) recently laid out the potential consequences for non-stakers, DeFi, and ETH itself — and why he describes the current dynamic as a “Moloch trap.”

We explored the key arguments together with the @Quark_Chain team ↓

1/7 — Ethereum’s Staking Rate: When Does It Become Too Much?

At last week’s EF Protocol Reddit AMA, Justin Drake was asked whether the EF sees an uncapped staking ratio as a problem.

His response laid out six potential harms—some more directly and comprehensively than we usually see discussed.

Here are the key points 🧵

In our latest article, developed through ongoing research with the @Quark_Chain team, we explore how native rollups, L1 provability, and single-slot finality could reshape Ethereum—and why the technologies developed throughout the rollup-centric era may now become building blocks for Ethereum L1 itself.

This research helps keep EthStorage’s work aligned with Ethereum’s evolving technical direction as we continue building for its decentralized future.

“Native Rollups: When Ethereum L1 Starts to Look Like a Rollup”

The article explores how native rollups, L1 provability, and single-slot finality could narrow the boundary between Ethereum L1 and L2.

For QuarkChain, this research helps inform our approach to scalable execution and identify where our engineering can contribute as Ethereum’s architecture evolves.

AI is changing how vulnerabilities are discovered — but strong security still starts with solid engineering fundamentals.

Together with the @Quark_Chain team, we’ve been following the latest discussion around AI-assisted security, testing, and code review. Some useful takeaways for developers ↓

The latest Bitcoin Core weekly meeting featured an interesting discussion around “AI usage, perception and reality.”

The topic was raised by Steve Lee (Moneyball), head of Block’s Bitcoin R&D initiative, who relayed a concern raised by several people, including donors:

Bitcoin Core developers may not be taking AI-driven threats seriously enough, while the project may also be underusing AI for issue and PR triage, code review, and test development.

Faster Ethereum confirmations could have meaningful implications across bridges, L2s, and exchanges.

As part of our ongoing technical research with @Quark_Chain, we took a closer look at FCR — how it works, its security trade-offs, and where it could make the biggest difference. ↓

Fast Confirmation Rule (FCR): From ~14 Minutes to 12 Seconds

Earlier, there was a noteworthy development around FCR (Fast Confirmation Rule): a major cross-chain bridge company is expected to launch FCR within the next few months.

This means cross-chain transfers originating from either L1 or L2 could see latency drop from around 14 minutes—the time currently needed to wait for finality—to as little as 12 seconds.

Here’s how FCR works and why it matters ↓
