Ministry of Finance Concludes National Financial Modernization Workshop
The Ministry of Finance (MoF) has successfully concluded a five-round capacity-building workshop in Adama, training 500 federal officials on modernizing national financial management.
Held from Miazia 19 to Ginbot 12, 2018 E.C., the sessions focused on the expansion of digital payment systems across government institutions, strengthening Treasury reforms, the Treasury Single Account (TSA), and the utilization of the Integrated Financial Management Information System (IFMIS).
EthSwitch participated as a strategic technical partner, with Stakeholder Engagement Director Ato Belayneh Getachew highlighting the company’s role in building a secure, unified payment ecosystem to drive government digital reforms. To ensure the program's success, EthSwitch also provided essential in-kind logistical support for all participants.
Additionally, the Better Than Cash Alliance (BTCA) shared technical insights on global roadmaps and systemic requirements for Ethiopia’s digital transition.
The successful completion of this initiative marks a major step toward fiscal transparency and operational efficiency, bridging the gap between national infrastructure and daily government financial operations.
