When SpaceX first started working on Starship (initially called “BFR” – Big Falcon Rocket), most of the aerospace world was skeptical. The idea of building a massive, fully reusable stainless-steel spacecraft sounded unrealistic. Many thought it was too ambitious, too risky, and far beyond current engineering limits.
Early prototypes were rough. Several test vehicles like Starhopper and early Starship prototypes exploded, failed during pressure tests, or broke apart during flight attempts. Each failure was very public. Each one brought criticism, doubt, and pressure.
At one point, it would have been easier to slow down, scale back, or abandon the most ambitious parts of the design.
But instead, SpaceX kept iterating changing materials, redesigning engines (Raptor), improving heat shielding, and learning from every test flight. Each “failure” became data, not defeat.
Then came successful high-altitude test flights where Starship prototypes finally launched, stabilized, and returned in controlled ways something many once thought impossible for such a large vehicle.
And even now, Starship is still being refined. It’s not a finished product, it’s a system being built through constant testing, adjustment, and persistence.
Simple lesson:
Big breakthroughs don’t come from avoiding failure they come from building something so difficult that failure is part of the process until it isn’t.

"He is in magnificent form, he has been showing it since last season and hopefully he can win the Champions League. I would also be happy for Luis Enrique, for Fabián, because there are Spaniards there, and I have a lot of affection for Ousmane."
"When he left here it hurt me a lot because I had a great friendship with him, and I am very happy that things are going well for him."

Elon Musk: “I think for many in the public, they don't quite realize just how much, deception is really going on with the media.
The biggest deception is the choice of narrative. The media can write a story about this or that, but only a few stories can go on the front page
So you’re deciding what people should pay attention to. Instead of it being what people actually care about, it’s what a handful of editors care about. They’re telling the people what to pay attention to”

Elon Musk on universal basic income coming from AI future:
"Mass unemployment will be a massive social challenge. Ultimately, we'll have no choice but to adopt some form of universal basic income"
"There will be fewer and fewer jobs that a robot cannot do better"
But here's the deeper question Elon raises - one that no policy can easily fix:
How do people find meaning?
Most of us tie our identity to our work. If your labor is no longer needed... do you feel useless?
That's not an economic problem. That's an existential one
Elon Musk on High-bandwidth connectivity directly from Starlink satellites to regular phone:
“So in parallel, we’re building the satellites and working with the handset makers to add these frequencies to the phones. And then the satellites and the phones will handshake very well to achieve high-bandwidth connectivity"
You should be able to watch videos anywhere on your phone”
Elon Musk: “Drive overrides fear. I feel fear quite strongly. But if what I’m doing is important enough, then I just override the fear. So, it’s not as though I don’t feel it - I feel it more strongly than I would like”
