@RonSexsmith I’m not offended at all, man. I just appreciate being able to see the other side of the coin and figured you would too. I’ve always been a fan of your music. Had a chance to see you a few years back and enjoyed it a lot.
@RonSexsmith You can dislike this guy and highlight the outrageous stuff he’s said and done. That’s 100% awesome and something that’s great about 🇨🇦. We should all be able to express & fight for our views. But freedom of expression only has value when we judge each other on fact, not hearsay.
@RonSexsmith Just because something is trending and “seems true” doesn’t mean it’s worth circulating, that’s a terrible argument. If something took off that was super negative about you, would you like it if I retweeted it and played it off as true?
@RonSexsmith Might the the case, but by circulating the content we contribute to the culture of misinformation and make it ok to judge someone on something they *might* have said vs. something they *did* say. Dangerous territory for anyone. Truth is powerful. We should defend it’s value.
@RonSexsmith Actually you can... Give this a quick google & you’ll find it was produced on a website called Business Standard News, which either creates “satire” or intentionally fake news, depending on how you interpret it. Disagree with people sure, just do for things they said.
