Why MESOC? Why Social?
I recorded this video to introduce myself and share why I’m joining @Mesoc_DCS as co-founder.
There’s a lot to build, and I’m excited to get started with this community.
#MESOC
This week, I’ve shared some of the thinking behind @Mesoc_DCS.
Today, I’d like to hear your side.
Think about an online community you genuinely enjoy being part of. What makes you return? The people, the conversations, the feeling that someone notices when you show up?
And what does the platform make harder than it should?
As we build MESOC, I want to understand both: what’s already worth keeping and where there’s room to do better.
If you’ve tried MESOC, I’d love to hear your first impressions too.
#MESOC #Community
You’ll see “digital civilization” in MESOC’s vision. It’s a big phrase, so here’s what it means to me.
People already build meaningful parts of their lives online. They find people they trust, learn from each other, and turn shared interests into projects and communities.
The way we design social platforms affects all of that: how people find each other, what they can control and how their communities grow.
That’s why I care about what we’re building at @Mesoc_DCS. I want our bigger vision to show up in small, useful things people can experience for themselves.
#MESOC #DecentralizedSocial
A community can start with a few people and a shared interest. Over time, they might organize events, make music or build something together.
I’d like MESOC to give communities room to grow in their own direction, with tools they can choose around what they actually need.
If you run a community, you probably already have a list of things you wish your platform could do.
What’s at the top of yours?
@Mesoc_DCS #MESOC #Web3
Some of the most important people in my life started as a conversation online. I think that’s something worth remembering when we talk about the future of social.
At @Mesoc_DCS, we want people to have more control over the identity and connections they build over time.
The friendships, the reputation, the community - all the things that make a platform worth coming back to.
Have you ever met someone online who changed your life or helped you start something?
#MESOC #DecentralizedSocial
In my last post, I talked about why I chose to build in social. I want to spend a little more time on what that means for MESOC.
We’re building around a belief that people should have more control over their digital lives: their identity, their connections, and the communities they belong to.
That’s a big ambition. Making it useful means translating it into everyday experiences that people can understand and enjoy.
Over the next few days, I’ll share the ideas behind @Mesoc_DCS. I’d love to hear which ones matter most to you.

Why Social
In January 2026, Vitalik said he was going back to decentralized social.
If we want a better society, we need better tools for mass communication.
That line stayed with me.
Web3 can build a lot of things: finance, assets, AI, infrastructure. I chose the path that looks slowest, and is easiest to underestimate.
The next internet is missing more than a better financial layer. It needs a better social layer.
I’m building @Mesoc_DCS Not because we already have the answer. Because the current one isn’t good enough.
You know that feeling when you delete a message but somehow it still exists somewhere?
We removed that feeling entirely. Once you delete it, it’s gone for real. No backups, no company archive.
Beta testers say it’s weirdly freeing.
