As you watch Aaron Rai in the PGA Championship, you might notice he uses iron covers for his clubs and wears two gloves — two habits often viewed as golf faux pas. But both are actually inspiring.
Rai grew up in a working-class family in England, where his father sacrificed heavily to support his golf career. When Aaron got an expensive set of irons as a kid, his dad would clean every groove with a pin and baby oil after practice because the clubs meant that much to them. The iron covers became a reminder to appreciate what you have.
And the two gloves? Rai started wearing them as a kid during cold-weather golf in England and eventually became so comfortable with the feel that he never stopped.
Not gimmicks. Just gratitude… and comfort.
So a club can sell its hotel to itself, sell its women’s team to itself, but West Brom are punished, they believe, for legitimate “in-kind” donations to the Albion Foundation, its charity partner that saves lives. Albion also believe the alleged PSR breach is “less than £2m”

Those closest to Envoi Allen pay tribute to their superstar horse
Darragh O'Keeffe, jockey: "Everything was grand and I was happy out there. He pulled up A1 and everything like that, but when we were trotting back [after the race] he collapsed. He was unbelievable and a special horse. He won numerous races and it just happened so fast."
Richard Thompson, Cheveley Park Stud: "We didn't see it but the vets okayed them all after the race and Darragh said he was pricking his ears after the race. He then went over as he was coming back onto the chute. He'd just retired but then in a minute or two he was gone.
"He was such a lovely little horse and it wasn't the ending we wanted. He's been an incredible servant and just wonderful over the years. It's such a sad way to go."
🗣️ "The potential of the players isn't quite being met by the vision of the head coach."
🗣️ "England are battling it out not to win the wooden spoon."
Should Steve Borthwick remain as England head coach?
Just listened to Mozza on BBC WM with @SteveHermon , I don't care what happens for the rest of the season I absolutely love that bloke he is 100% one of us, says it as it is.. nothing I want more than that man to get us out the shit. #WBA
Boshfather with Johnny Davidson months ago showing more understanding and compassion about Tourette’s than all these race grifter losers in media and Hollyweird. BBC apologising has done more damage and shamed people suffering. If you don't speak up you are bullying sufferers
Really sad, and well. Shit, what is happening with my beloved Albion atm. We are destined for league 1, no doubt. Poor appointment but let’s face it the fans bullied Mason out, and he probably would have still had us competitive at this stage. It’s a wake up call for all. #wba
So many talents nurtured by West Bromwich Albion. So many clubs benefiting from their work. Aston Villa’s Morgan Rogers and Jamaldeen Jimoh-Aloba started out in West Brom’s academy…. So did Louie Barry, Tim Iroegbunam and Finn Azaz… 1/2
