22/ We have a long-term strategy for that work, and we're already executing it.
If we want a competitive, secure, decentralized future, we have to advocate for it.
That's what @TheDRC_ is doing.
Onward."
16/ In AI, policy is too often presented as a choice between slowing innovation and accelerating at any cost.
That misses another question: Who gets to build, access, and govern the systems transforming our lives?
21/ None of that happens by being passive.
It takes early engagement, objective research, coalition-building, and the willingness to honestly explain complex technology to policymakers before proposals are written.
15/ The same principle extends beyond blockchain: policymakers should understand what decentralized alternatives make possible before setting the rules that shape their future.
12/ We’re also engaging policymakers on post-quantum security.
Ethereum developers are working towards a post-quantum world and policymakers need to understand the benefits and threats posed by quantum computing, while there is still time for careful preparation.
14/ We're helping policymakers understand privacy-enhancing technologies and how they can support legitimate compliance needs.
Where current rules don't accommodate them, we'll make the case for modernization.
13/ Privacy belongs in this conversation too.
People expect confidentiality from traditional financial services. They should not have to expose their entire financial history to transact onchain.
11/ DRC is working with protocol developers, blockchain analytics firms, and government agencies to improve threat detection, coordination, and the resilience of decentralized infrastructure.
10/ If we don’t help solve real security problems, we make poorly tailored regulations more likely.
Protecting permissionless systems means being serious about protecting the people who use them.
9/ Let’s be clear: hacks and fraud are not somebody elses problem.
When people lose their savings, policymakers are right to demand answers.
The question is whether those answers target the real threats - or impose obligations on actors unable to meet them.
8/ That advocacy will include a consideration that we cannot ignore: security.
Nation-state hacks, exploits, and stolen consumer funds inflict real harm. They also heighten scrutiny of the entire ecosystem.
