Children were among those injured when an Israeli strike hit a residential apartment in Gaza City’s al-Nasr neighbourhood on Monday, setting the building on fire and killing at least one Palestinian and injuring several others.

The attack comes as Israeli strikes and other attacks continue to hit Gaza despite the ceasefire, with Palestinian health officials reporting more than 1,400 Palestinians killed since it took effect in October 2025.
