@RuiXuKS@KSEconomist Why aren’t all levels of gvrnmt working to educate each property owner’s right to appeal their valuations? Cty appraisers are just doing their jobs and most of the valuation increases are a true reflection of market value or at least close. Ppl need to take action, not KsLeg imo
@becripps I know that media didn’t slow the game down, the players did. Needing rules to speed it up is an indictment on the players and ownership. Players have demanded more over time ownership has bowed down to them. Players became lazy and didn’t care, they were getting paid more!
@becripps They sped up the game with artificial rules to do so. Their effectiveness aside, rules weren’t needed to play the game quickly the players, coaches and managers just needed to decide they wanted to.
CB Bucknor, the MLB umpire who has come under fire for a string of missed calls, left the Rays-Brewers game in pain after taking a foul ball to the mask 👀

@becripps Replay has been a thing for a while now and has been ok. Arbitrating balls and strikes different. Isn’t it weird that the more scientific and precise the scrutiny of stats, players and officials have become, the less watchable the game has become?
@becripps I know there are stats, where is the public shaming? A hitter swings and misses at one in the dirt and nothing happens. Next pitch. An ump misses a 100 mph fb by a fraction of an inch and we want to tar and feather them! It’s setting a precedent of perfection that isn’t possible
@becripps We have to stop scrutinizing officials and making them the “cause” of the athletes’ failures and mess ups. Why aren’t we keeping score of hitters who swing at pitches out of the zone? At least make a harsh penalty for a failed challenge.
@ChaseCoble82 It’s a classic move. The party that doesn’t want “big government” injecting itself into places where it really doesn’t belong. The NCAA is dysfunctional enough on its own, it doesn’t need old coaches playing politics trying to fix things that they have nothing to do with.
