When will #Oriire46 be rescued?
Today’s June 15, the teachers and pupils were abducted May 15, it’s exactly one month today that husbands have not seen their wives, wives haven’t seen their husbands, Parents haven’t seen their Children.
Life has been lost, the government keeps promising, will the families survive on empty rhetorics?
When exactly will Oriire be rescued?
The abduction happened right before I left for Naija for holidays, spent 24 days in Nigeria and I’ve since returned to Europe, yet, nothing’s changed, people’s mental health have turned worse, the ripple effect is beyond the Oriire46, thousands of others are affected in a way or two.
Government must act now!

Today makes it 31 days since our children and their teacher 47 of them, now 46 after Mr Michael Oyedokun was beheaded live on TV, were taken in Yawota and Ahoro Esinele communities, Oriire LGA, Oyo State.
Thirty-one nights in a terrorist den. Thirty-one mornings waking up afraid, not knowing if help will come.
It feels too familiar. We remember how it started with the Chibok girls in 2014. We counted days then too. “Day 10, Day 50, Day 200.” We marched, we cried, we promised “never again.” But till today, some of those girls are still missing.
Their parents are still counting, still hoping.
Now we’re counting again. Day 1, Day 15, Day 31… for these children in Oyo state, and across the nation.
Will we still be counting them next year? Will another set of parents join this painful club?
Is this how Nigeria will keep going? Where innocent lives become political tools, used for headlines and forgotten after elections.
The people sworn to protect us are busy with politicking, campaigns, and reelection, while our children rot in the bush, inside the thick forest of Old Oyo National Reserve.
When will it stop? When will a child’s safety matter more than votes?

Today is exactly one month since Borno & Oyo State schoolchildren were kidnapped! ONE WHOLE MONTH, & our children are not back!
They are eighty-one in number, including seven teachers. We lost a teacher in a beheading.
From public outcry to street protests. Then we move on. Please we shouldn’t forget them.
It’s the rainy season in Nigeria, they must be cold. There are mosquitoes, their immune system is not that strong. Then there is acute malnutrition otherwise called kwashiorkor.
There are waterborne diseases as well.
Diarrhea, malaria, acute malnutrition, etc. The children are dealing with all of these elements. Then there is the human factor — trauma in the form of constant trepidation. My paranoia is justified! They risk becoming child brides. Child marriage is not a thing to sweep under the rug.
Who is going to give them the closure they so desperately need? Closure is a psychological support to move on & achieve your life dreams.
I’m sure they have a bucket list, goals or things they want to achieve during their lifetime. I’m sure we have engineers, doctors, teachers, nurses, pilots, architects, etc among them.
This is their formative years. They shouldn’t miss out on a sheltered life; the promise of a better tomorrow. We shouldn’t forget them!
They stay in the bush so that politicians can soirée & party harder. Nigeria is the father that abandoned his children. Please remember them today & say a prayer for them. They remind us that Nigeria is a country of particular concern.
This is heartbreaking. This is solidarity. Children are praying for their friends to be rescued. A mother who is a teacher is crying for help. The significance of “May 15” is not lost on us.
They are our children dealing with adult problems. They shouldn’t become part of an ongoing statistics. I am only pleading.
At this point? Your silence will fail the children. PLEASE LEND YOUR VOICE TO THIS. 💔🙏
27 days. Almost a full month.
And 42 abducted children and teachers are still in captivity. 💔
Innocent lives. Destroyed by incompetence.
Imagine your child. Your coworker. Yourself. 💔
This video costs nothing to share. Their pain costs everything.
RT if you’ve had ENOUGH. 💔😢
