Our Head of Service @pmw_bxl met the Head of @NPU_GOV_UA Ivan Vyhivskyi today to discuss EU-Ukraine cooperation. Last night, Russia struck Ukraine again, killing & injuring people & damaging the Kyiv Pechersk Lavra, @UNESCO World Heritage Site. 🇺🇦Police are among the first responders who rush to help after such attacks. They also clear explosives to make areas of 🇷🇺’s attacks safe again & serve at the frontline.

We support 🇺🇦National Police in its civilian security & protection tasks which go far beyond what is usually required from law enforcement. This not only reinforces 🇺🇦resilience, but also complements the vital work that is being conducted on reforms. This is #EUForeignPolicy in action!

The 🇪🇺 and its Member States adopted a new European Peace Facility (EPF) assistance measure worth EUR 100 million for the Lebanese Armed Forces (LAF). This means strengthening the LAF's ability to monitor, control and secure 🇱🇧's territory on land and at sea, improve maritime security and reinforce military medical capacities. @EUinLebanon Head of Delegation inspected newly delivered transport, logistics and construction equipment under the #EuropeanPeaceFacility (EPF) to bolster the Lebanese Army’s capabilities—including: ✔️ Specialised vehicles ✔️ Front & backhoe loaders ✔️ Skid steer loaders ✔️ Mobile cranes & rotating telehandlers
These assets will clear rubble in conflict-affected areas, rebuild infrastructure & strengthen logistic operations.
