@palebloodstasi Both my parents were doctors, never had a single money worry growing up. Parents specifically didn’t send me to private school so I wouldn’t be an arsehole. They also grew up in working class families and had a good mentality of being grateful of their situation. Passed it to us
@palebloodstasi The audio from the chat gpt launch announcement they added with that talking ai bot really nailed that home. Riddled with the kind of quirk chungus flirty chat that only a maladapted tech dork could find sexy and that thing was doing it from the get go. Mental
@palebloodstasi Kinda crazy seeing English YP members replying to these posts with all the contempt and condescension everyone expected them to have and the Scottish ones just still not getting it. The call is coming from inside lads!
@palebloodstasi Yeah it’s quite literally outsourcing any kind of direct action or base building work to south of the border. I know folk rave about YP being “democratic” with policy but I’ve got some news about the number of English people vs Scottish people. Any Indy support will be token
@palebloodstasi So much of this is just wish casting. It’s just fingers crossed for English electoralism to decide organically to give a fuck about Scotland.
God forbid independence comes from the political will of Scottish people
@McDivergence @janforindy2 Yeah I would be interested in more specifics from him. A focus on an overwhelmingly popular single issue would be more impactful for a fight than multiple fronts. Scottish media doesn’t do multitasking.
Ultimately, we need boldness, managerialism has spun the wheels for 10yrs
@McDivergence @janforindy2 I see what you’re saying but people aren’t going to believe you are a viable alternative to a disaster if you haven’t been agitating for your alternative. The Indy movement lost its teeth and its momentum. Spent the last 10 years pandering to people who wouldn’t support it anyway
@janforindy2 @McDivergence The problem with the SNP position is they have won in the past and no progress has been made. Support stays around 50ish % and nothing moves forward. Unless Indy gets to 70-80% it’s not going to happen. It needs overwhelming support. Green position agitates for that by fighting
@janforindy2 @McDivergence This is soothing he addresses later in the article, these policies are unfortunately not impactful enough or are too divisive. He is referencing things like wealth tax’s. Employment law. Things with huge impact and massive popular support that are outside of devo to force a fight
@janforindy2 @McDivergence The short version is to continually push the limits of devolution with overwhelmingly popular policies and pick fights with Westminster. Force them into a position of allowing more powers or crushing popular policy. Push Indy well above 50%. Make it impossible to ignore
@McDivergence I get where she’s coming from but the idea that an English party is going to be swayed by a couple of Scottish councillors to gift independence is just wish casting. It needs like 8 things to happen perfectly, none of which would be in any Scottish voter’s control. A joke really
@McDivergence Which is crazy because the SGP do have an independence plan which is more radical and practical than the SNP’s. You can argue that they aren’t in a good enough position for it but they are also polling better than ever currently and the Your Party position is…. ?
@usmanakhtar00 Tbh this is just wish casting. this plan is to keep placing hopes that an English electorate in a PR Westminster election will decide to support it? Why would that work? There’s certainly no possibility of a Scottish electorate having a sway in a Westminster election
@usmanakhtar00 Because Corbyn is surrounded by cliquey advisors who are still deeply connected to the Labour Party and leak like a sieve and he’s still too fucking Labour brained to realise he’s being fed into a wood chipper by the same people all over again
@palebloodstasi Remember when they buried all the burnt out cars out of “respect” before any independent investigators could see them?
Israel seems to love burying vehicles, a totally normal thing to do!
