Meeting today with the Acting 🇽🇰 Minister of Internal Affairs, Xhelal Sveçla: I appreciated the very constructive, frank, and open discussion on several urgent issues and the importance of the rule of law and human rights, for the collective benefit of all communities.

Indeed, it was a very productive conversation, with several insightful reflections on spiritual themes, and human rights/cultural heritage needs, as well as the important role of the Implementation and Monitoring Council (IMC) within Kosovo’s legal framework.

Today, Giovanni Pietro Barbano, Head of the EULEX Mission in Kosovo, visited Visoki Dečani Monastery and was received by Abbot Fr. Sava. In a constructive and open discussion, they exchanged views on current challenges facing the Serbian Orthodox Church in Kosovo, including issues of legal protection, heritage preservation, and the need for consistent rule of law. Such dialogue remains essential for safeguarding religious rights and fostering mutual understanding.
