Seattle-born rapper Macklemore (real name Ben Haggerty) has been spotted at the 2026 World Cup in the USA wearing a 1982 Northern Ireland top.

My thoughts are with the family of the murdered MP Jo Cox, 10 years on from her death. It's always worth remebering that we have #moreincommon and, as her widower Brendan commented, it's also something worth fighting to preserve
D-Day 6 June 1944. A day that changed the course of WW2.
We must remain grateful of that generation who gave so much, suffered incredible hardships at home and overseas.
Here in Northern Ireland, and across these islands, we should be proud of the Royal Ulster Rifles.
Nice to hear the town of Murphy in Santa Fé 🇦🇷 mentioned by some footballing legends this week. My wife has extended family whose ancestors founded the town. It's not particularly Irish in character, but it has certainly produced enough footballing legends of its own
As Pope Leo XIV's #apostolicjourney left #Angola this morning I was left impressed his message of hope & his committment to Africa and furthering post-conflict reconciliation. Sadly, I didn't get the best photos, but it was an amazing experience to be part of!
Africa is a reservoir of joy and hope for the whole world. Its young people and its poor still dream; they hope still; they do not settle for what already exists. They desire to rise up again, to prepare for great responsibilities, to put themselves on the line personally. The desire for the infinite that dwells in the human heart is a principle of social transformation deeper than any political or cultural program. #ApostolicJourney #Angola
28 years ago today, the Good Friday Agreement was signed, one of Labour’s proudest achievements.
Working in Northern Ireland, I saw first-hand the transformation peace brought to communities.
At a time of global instability, it reminds us that peace must be built and protected.
Well done to @Portadownfc for involving local football fans in combating the scourge or violence against women in NI. A really important stand to take and good way to raise awareness #notinourgame
I can hardly believe that today is a full 10 years since the terrorist attacks in Brussels. I had a lucky escape but tragically many didn't. I'll always be thankful for the emergency services that day. The city didn't give in to panic or hatred, it will always be better than that
I'd never really thought about it before, but found yesterday that shamrocks seem to bloom in tropical Africa, when I noticed these poking through the cracks in my back garden. May warmth, beauty & a bit of Ireland poke through the cracks wherever you're spending #StPatricksday
These beautiful daffodils came out in bloom beneath the cherry blossom here in Portadown just in time for the 1st March, a nice reminder of #StDavidsDay Dydd Gŵyl Dewi Hapus i ti, wherever you are!

A very long time ago I taught a young Ukrainian in a primary school in Spain, who was welcomed as a local. Since 2022 it's been heartening to see so many Ukrainian children receive the education they could have missed out on due to a war none of them asked for
