ANNOUNCEMENT (award included)!!!
During the YIS social event, we are going to organize COF/MOF knowledge quiz. Questions are not a walk in the park, but the winner gets Professor Yaghi's book “Introduction to Reticular Chemistry”. Get ready for competition!
Thrilled to welcome our next speaker Martin Ratsch, a PhD student in the group of Prof. Karl Börjesson at Gothenburg University, Sweden.
His research focuses on making smooth porous framework films (COFs/PAFs) in a continuous flow set up with a controllable and tunable thickness.
Time to introduce our next speaker - Aydin Ozcan, a postdoctoral researcher from Prof. Guillaume Maurin's group at University of Montpellier. He did PhD in University College London on the subject of nonequilibrium molecular dynamics simulations.
It’s a great pleasure for us to introduce our next speaker - Miriam Velásquez-Hernández!!
She studied chemistry at UNAM (México). Currently, She is working as a university assistant in the research group of Prof. Paolo Falcaro at TU GRAZ (Austria).
Currently, he is an Associate Professor at Hohai University in China, and his projects are mainly focused on porous-material-based membranes for gas separation, chemical detoxification, and water treatment.
Time to introduce our next speaker - Dr. Zhiyong Lu!!
He gained his PhD in 2015 from Nanjing University and joined Prof. Hupp group at Northwestern University from 2018-2021 as a postdoctoral researcher working on MOF-based heterogeneous catalysis.
ANNOUNCEMENT - We are all about integration and making science accesible to as many students as possible - so the whole EUROMOF YIS 2021 will be live-streamed for free on 10.09.2021 on our Youtube Channel! Hope to see you there! More information to follow soon!
His research interests involve porous photoswitchable coordination polymers, with a special emphasis on compounds that show variation of magnetic properties upon light irradiation (photomagnetic effect).
It’s a great pleasure for us to introduce our next speaker - Michał Magott!
Michał is working on his PhD under the supervision of Dawid Pinkowicz at the Jagiellonian University in Kraków.
Time to introduce Sarah Morgan (formerly Smith), a 4th year PhD student in Dr. Gregory Parsons laboratory at North Carolina State University. Her research focusses on development of MOF-fiber composites for personal protection
applications.
