What on earth is the point of adding these provisions to the Frontex regulation if Frontex can ignore them and participate in human rights breaches with impunity? With respect, this is a failure of judicial reasoning and moral courage comparable to Korematsu v US.

EU General Court rejects damages claim against Frontex for pushbacks - leaves Frontex unaccountable for any breach of its obligations not to assist in operations which breach human rights. The refugees can appeal to the CJEU.

The case against Frontex was dismissed by the General Court of the EU. This ruling exposes a gap in legal protection. If we want to stop illegal pushbacks, it is necessary for the EU to act. We are considering next steps. #noobw #notonourborderwatch
