The “defund the police” stuff and whatnot is very much something that has/had broad support amongst the American economic left.

@alt_ccc Funniest part is when they (accidentally) actually get elected due to it being a wave election. This happened in Australia with Albo’s landslide I believe.
@lxeagle17@EricMGarcia Could a partial explanation be that primary voters sometimes consider (perceived) electability and women are (perhaps incorrectly) seen as being less electable?
@AezzieUwU It is true Republicans attack pretty much any Dem for being a radical marxist or whatnot.
However, the degree to which swing voters believe is in part a function of the candidate’s statements, actions, appearance, vibes etc…
